Fair Housing Month 2017 Events

Fair Housing Training: Frankfort, April 6, 2017 - Frankfort, KY
We’re capital-bound this year! 2017’s FHM fair housing training will be at the Harold R. Benson Research and Demonstration Farm at Kentucky State University.

This is an opportunity for any and all Kentucky-based individuals involved in the housing industry – landlords, property managers, leasing agents, maintenance workers, real estate agents, etc. – to come learn about their rights and responsibilities under federal, state, and local housing law. Attendees will be given guidance on how to navigate housing issues related to accessibility and disability, working with residents with limited English proficiency, how to support survivors of domestic violence, and much more. Additionally, we have also invited two special guests to present at the training: Dr. Roger Cleveland, who will share strategies about how to recognize and combat implicit bias within organizations; and Kelley Gannon, LCSW, who will offer guidance on how to better work with clients who are living with a mental illness.

Seating is limited, so please register as soon as you know you’ll be attending.

Additionally, if you are a member of a group that will be attending (e.g., a property management company), we ask that each individual employee register separately (just so we have a clearer estimate about how many individual attendees to expect).

Refreshments and light snacks will be provided for attendees.
